I've always been the girl with the camera and I got my start as many photographers do: as a local photographer doing portraits. Then I expanded into weddings and finally boudoir. . . and I'm so grateful for that AND I absolutely love my local clientele - but . . . when I did my first elopement?! Oh. My. God. my soul came alive and I was hooked. Seeing the couple in their own element, with no panic or pressure . . . just the 2 of them in a wild, fun, beautiful location. That was the magic. THAT was what it was supposed to be about. and then slowly as time went on I began slowly booking more elopements I KNEW. . . I just wasn't made for local, central Wisconsin barn weddings any more (no shade, nothing wrong with them. They're always a good time and I've thrown back a couple and kicked my boots off) . . . but it was like this deep, undeniable pull at a soul level. I knew elopements; specifically destination elopements; were what I was born to do.

The couple that is wild, rebellious, FUN. . . . down to earth but also they know what they want. they value quality and investing in the experience because they know this is more than just photos. they're memories that will last a lifetime. the ones that just want to give a big middle finger to doing things for traditions sake and they would rather put their time and money into a timeless experience rather than table placements. They're the ones who come to me with zero hesitation and are ALL IN and fully trust the vision and process.

UGH GOD YES.

Honestly? . . . the couple who's just not ready to make the investment. It's just an energy and vibe you can sense and someone hesitating, needing lots of reassurance or questioning every little thing. and it's not that I have a problem with questions or walking my couples through the process & emotions; not at ALL! But there's a big, tangible difference with normal elopement emotions and someone who's questioning everything because they're rooted in fear & doubt . . . and it's almost always from lack of confidence, lack of trust, and fear around making the investment and uncertainty of if it's right for them. and: I get it. Totally. It IS a big investment. However, when someone isn't 100% ready to make that investment and they don't fully trust me or have confidence in what I offer and the level of expertise and experience I provide; then I can't do my job and their photos and experience will not be what it had the potential to be. and that's not a good fit for either of us. my goal is to provide a 5 star experience for all of my clients; and sometimes the truth is that they're just not ready to make a large investment or might be better suited with a different photographer. Trust, clarity, and a level of 100% "YES! LET'S DO THIS" is essential.

There’s richness, warmth, and atmosphere —but the subtle under tones of taste aren't lost . . . they're layered. You feel it and it lingers. My editing style is luxe, it stays true to natural colors and while pulling in the moody, editorial hints.

Sometimes it’s early morning. Sometimes it’s after everyone’s gone to bed. As a mom, I'm finding the time to do this while navigating morning drop-offs and afternoon sports. But I love it. It's my "me time"!
